BAND BOOSTER VOLUNTEERS – What Do They Do? The following is a brief list of what Band Booster Volunteers can, and are needed to do. 1. Supporting the Band Booster Organization through active participation and attending events and meetings. 2. Work in the concession stands during athletic events. This includes Middle School, Freshman, JV, and Varsity Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball games and Track meets. These events occur on weeknights as well as some Saturdays. 3. Chaperone Band Students, Middle School and High School, during home and away athletic events and trips to music contests. 4. Cooking meals (hamburgers, breakfast tacos, etc.) before special events for band students. 5. Fitting band students for uniforms at the beginning of the school year. 6. Welding, carpentry, plumbing, or any other technical skill that can be volunteered to assist the band programs' special needs. 7. Writing letters or calling businesses, school administrators, or other band parents. 8. Fundraising projects need assistance from beginning to completion. 9. Help with dinners/banquets by setting-up, decorating, serving food, advertising, and clean-up.
